Amazing "Sun Rise" and "Tea Plantation" Tour
Wake up at 4 a.m. The drive to Xianggong Hill takes about 50 minutes. We walk up the steps to the top of this hill (which takes about 20 minutes) to get a great view of the sun rise over the Karst mountains and the foggy sea. The sun usually rises between 5:30am and 6:30am. We have some fresh, hot coffee at the top of the hill and eat some fresh fruit and toast for breakfast. We descend around 7:30 a.m., then we drive to Qixianfeng Tea Farm and walk up the mountain to see the tea trees. We get a basket to harvest our own tea leaves. At the tea factory, a tea master will teach us how to process tea and during a traditional ceremony you can taste the tea. After, we drive to a Ming Dynasty village called Jiuxian, explore the old buildings and visit a farmer's family. We get back to the hotel at around 2 p.m. and have time to relax.
